This Sunday, Pastor Ryan continued our study through 1 John, preaching from 1 John 4:7–21 and reminding us of one of the clearest truths in Scripture: God is love.

John doesn’t simply tell us that God shows love—love is part of His very nature. And because we have been loved so completely by Him, that love should become visible in the way we live and the way we love others.

And John gives us a challenging reminder: we cannot claim to love God while refusing to love the people He has placed around us. Our love for others is one of the ways the reality of God’s love becomes visible through our lives.

May we be a church that doesn’t just talk about love but lives it—loving because He first loved us.
