Ephesians 5: 15-18
Pastor Ryan taught from Ephesians 5:15–18, challenging us to “walk carefully, not as unwise but as wise… making the best use of the time.”
One of the most impactful takeaways was understanding the difference between doctrine, convictions, and traditions—and why it matters for how we live out our faith.
- Doctrine – The unchanging truth of God’s Word. These are the non-negotiables. What Scripture clearly teaches, we stand on—no matter what.
- Convictions – Personal, Spirit-led decisions. These are areas where God may lead believers differently, shaping how we individually honor Him.
- Traditions – Man-made practices. These can be meaningful, but they are not equal to Scripture—and should never replace it.
We must not confuse preferences with truth. God calls us to live wisely, rooted in His Word, and filled with His Spirit—not just going through the motions.
Let’s be a church that knows the difference, walks in wisdom, and lives with intentionality for God’s glory!
