1 John 2: 7-14

This Sunday, Pastor Phil continued our journey through 1 John, reminding us that a life transformed by Jesus should be marked by one unmistakable thing: biblical love.

John tells us that the command to love one another is both old and new—a truth God has always commanded, yet one that was displayed perfectly in the life of Jesus. When we walk in the light of Christ, the way we love others should reflect the One we follow.

We cannot claim to walk in the light while holding hatred in our hearts toward a brother or sister. Love and light go hand in hand. As followers of Jesus, we are called to forgive, extend grace, serve one another, and choose love—even when it isn’t easy.

Church, may we be people who don’t simply say we know Jesus, but whose lives make His love visible to the world around us!

Walk in the light.

Abide in His Word.

Love one another.
