2 John 1:1-3, 10-13
This Sunday, Pastor Ryan took us into 2 John 1–3 & 10–13, reminding us that as followers of Jesus, truth and love were never meant to be separated.
You cannot separate truth and love.
Our culture often treats love as simply agreeing, accepting, or avoiding difficult conversations. But biblical love is rooted in something much stronger: truth.
Real love doesn’t abandon truth to make someone comfortable. And truth isn’t meant to be wielded without love. As followers of Christ, we’re called to hold tightly to both.
Jesus isn’t asking us to create our own version of truth or decide what feels right to us. We look to God and His Word as our foundation. Truth without love can become harsh. Love without truth can become empty. But in Christ, we are called to both.
