1 John 2:28 - 3:3

What does it look like to live confidently as a child of God while we wait for Christ’s return?

This Sunday, Pastor Dwight continued our journey through 1 John with 1 John 2:28–3:3, reminding us of the incredible identity and hope we have in Jesus.

John calls believers to abide in Christ—to remain close to Him, walk faithfully with Him, and live in a way that reflects who we belong to. And then comes one of the most beautiful reminders in Scripture:

“See what great love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children—and we are!” — 1 John 3:1

We don’t have to wonder where we belong. We are loved by the Father. We are His children. And we have a living hope! One day, when Christ appears, we will see Him as He is—and that future hope should shape the way we live TODAY.

As you go through this week, remember:

ABIDE in Him.

REST in your identity as His child.

LOOK FORWARD with hope.

LIVE TODAY in light of His return.
