3 John 1: 1-15
What does it look like to not only know the truth, but to actually walk in it?
This Sunday, Pastor Ryan took us through 3 John 1:1–15, where John gives us a beautiful picture of what faithful Christian living should look like.
Throughout this short letter, we see three very different examples:
Gaius — faithfully walking in truth, loving others, and showing hospitality to those serving the Gospel.
Diotrephes — seeking recognition, wanting to be first, and allowing pride to affect the way he treated others.
Demetrius — a man with a good testimony whose life reflected the truth he believed.
Following Jesus is about more than simply knowing the truth. The truth of the Gospel should change the way we live, love, serve, lead, and treat the people around us.
May we be a church full of people who walk in truth, love others faithfully, support the work of the Gospel, and live lives worth imitating.
Because the world doesn’t just need Christians who know the truth—it needs Christians who LIVE the truth.
